Crossroads & Tombstones Documentaries and Oral Histories

Crossroads and Tombstones explores archaic cemeteries and regional archives in search of family stories, history, legend, and folklore.  The preservation of family stories and the history of burial locations, as well as the folklore and legends that accompany them, is important to historical preservation. Separating the folklore from the facts sometimes reveals that facts are much more intriguing, and in some cases more frightening, than the legends.

Upcoming: Oregon Pioneer Family Stories

The second part of our project from Lafayette, Yamhill County, Oregon are stories from a Pioneer family. Miles and Cyrene Burden-Taylor Cary were pioneers of 1843. The 1843 pioneers blazed the Oregon trail as the first wave known as the “Great Migration.” We are proud to tell this story.
